24-Hour Emergency Hotline

Our emergency phone counselling hotline is available for company employees who perceive that they have a personal problem that is (or may be) adversely affecting them. They may call anytime; phones will be answered twenty-four (24) hours a day, and callers will have access to a counsellor.

Follow-up sessions can then be arranged for callers to see a counsellor to continue resolving the issues.

Range of Stressful situations addressed:

  • Emotional Health - assistance with stress, anxiety, depression, coping with death, suicide risk and other emotional problems that require counselling and other treatment.
  • Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency - clinical intervention regarding the abuse of alcohol, prescription and/or illegal drugs.
  • Marital, Family and Relationship problems - help in resolving conflict and discord within the marriage, family or friendship, spousal abuse and single parenting.
  • Dependent Care - specific childcare and elder care assistance.
  • Legal Trauma - assistance with questions and serious problems related to separation, divorce, child custody, landlord/tenant disputes, estate, criminal action and consumer fraud.
  • Financial Crisis - help in budgeting, credit and debt problems.
  • Physical Health - assistance with problems primarily or secondarily related to physical health of employees or family members.
  • Job Related - help and counselling with work related interpersonal problems excluding direct intrusion in the supervisor - employee relationship and absenteeism in the workplace and on the job.
  • Other Problems - battering, incest, sexual harassment in the workplace, sexual problems, including impotence and sexual preference, trouble adjusting to retirement, interpersonal relationships and individual adjustment problems
